Rachael was born in Naperville, IL and moved to Olathe, KS as a teenager where her family still resides. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 2014 and has since worked on the family medicine progressive care unit at the University of Kansas Hospital. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2019. While in school, she served as Faculty for the University of Kansas School of Nursing, teaching the introductory clinical course as well as the elective mental health clinical rotation.
Rachael completed 600+ on-site clinical hours throughout her graduate school curriculum in various areas including: adult outpatient psychiatry, pediatric inpatient psychiatry, therapy (focus on dialectical behavioral therapy), geriatric psychiatry and crisis management. She currently treats a wide range of conditions including disorders of mood, anxiety, psychosis and attention/focus.
Rachael is both licensed as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner by the Kansas Board of Nursing. She is certified as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In her free time, Rachael enjoys riding her horse, snowboarding, tending to her plants and pets and taking on overly ambitious home projects.
